We are a diverse team of young professionals and students from around the world who share one goal: helping women feel connected, confident, and at home in Zurich. Having all experienced what it means to arrive in Zurich as outsiders, we know how challenging it can be to understand the local culture and build new friendships — especially when life is busy and everything feels unfamiliar. What we write and create comes from the heart — we’ve lived these experiences ourselves, and we want to make it easier for others to find genuine friendship and a sense of community in a world that often feels fast-paced and disconnected.
Our Story
SheConnects was born from our shared experience of arriving in Zurich and realizing how difficult it can be to build meaningful friendships in a new city. We wanted to create something that didn’t yet exist — a space where women could connect, feel safe, and truly belong. What started as a small idea among friends has grown into a community that celebrates diversity, connection, and local discovery — helping every newcomer make Zurich feel like home.
